Inline CO₂ laser integration

Make the mark reliable at production speed.

Bring the laser, product handling, sensing, controls, guarding and extraction together as one engineered production system.

Integration engineering

A stable product creates a stable code.

A laser can only mark consistently when the target surface arrives in the right position, at the right distance and with known movement. Conveyor vibration, product rotation, height variation and changing speed can all affect quality.

We review the full marking zone and define the mechanical support, adjustment, sensing and compensation needed for repeatability.

Mechanical scope can include

  • Rigid laser and scan-head supports
  • Height, angle and focal-distance adjustment
  • Conveyor guides, side belts or product stabilisation
  • Purpose-built guarding and access doors
  • Integration with a new or customer conveyor

The integration package

Every supporting element considered early.

Scope is matched to the application, site standards and responsibility boundaries agreed for the project.

01

Triggering

Product sensors positioned to give reliable detection and correct mark placement.

02

Speed compensation

Shaft encoders track conveyor speed where variable movement must be compensated.

03

Controls & data

I/O, message selection, line signals and network requirements defined with the customer.

04

Laser safety

Risk assessment, guarding, interlocks, warning measures and access are engineered for the installation.

05

Fume extraction

Capture point, ducting, filtration, alarms and filter access matched to the material and duty.

06

Handover

Commissioning, operator training, maintenance guidance and agreed documentation provided.

Safety and conformity

Define responsibility before design is frozen.

The required machinery-safety assessment, conformity route and technical documentation depend on the final scope, interfaces and whether the project is a new machine, an assembly or a modification to existing equipment.

We agree the supply boundary, emergency-stop behaviour, guarding interfaces and customer site responsibilities during specification. The project can then be designed and documented against the applicable requirements.

Control philosophy

Ready state
Conditions that must be true before marking is enabled.
Fault response
Alarm, inhibit and line-stop behaviour for defined failures.
Message control
Manual selection, recipe call or production-system input.
Verification
Optional downstream code presence or readability checks.
Maintenance
Safe access for lens cleaning, filter changes and inspection.

Project route

From survey to supported production.

1

Line review

Confirm product, speed, interfaces, available space and site constraints.

2

Trial & design

Prove the mark, freeze the application and engineer the complete cell.

3

Build & acceptance

Assemble, test and agree the practical acceptance checks.

4

Commission

Install, validate operation, train users and hand over documentation.
